u might just need to download it

RE: GAme will not start
my opinion maybe somewhat different,
Update the drivers for Intel graphics card by downloading them from the official site
Card name: Intel(R) UHD Graphics 620
Display Memory: 8237 MB
Dedicated Memory: 128 MB
Shared Memory: 8109 MB
Current Mode: 1920 x 1080 (32 bit) (60Hz)
Monitor Name: Generic PnP Monitor
Monitor Model: unknown
Monitor Id: AUO22ED
Native Mode: 1920 x 1080(p) (60.030Hz)
Output Type: Internal
so laptop with 2 GPU's
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce MX150
Display Memory: 12136 MB
Dedicated Memory: 4027 MB
Shared Memory: 8109 MB
and as it does mention the monitor, meaning it's not being used etc, so
which will make the nvidia the default for the game and will make it work correctly,...
also imo download and install the nvidia drivers to the latest version and follow my guide on how to install them, removing all the junk it comes with, good luck

ig9icd32.dll is drivers :p
RE: GAme will not start
correct,.
but report also mentioned game crashes on Intel drivers, which implies not only is it a laptop, but also it has two GPU,
a on die CPU/GPU which is the Intel one and a dedicated card, the Nvidia one, the game needs to be told to use the Nvidia one, and not the on die none dedicated one, not only does it have the correct amount of Ram for the game, it's X times more quicker and better for the game.
it's a common error with dual GPU laptops, and is an easy fix.

RE: GAme will not start
Thanks for the responses so far - now have progress (of sorts) - I can now get tot he change settings menu (once) and set it to windowed. When I launch it though I get some cool marital music and a big white window in the centre of the monitor (set to the windowed setting) but then nothing else - thoughts?
RE: GAme will not start
Force the game to use your Nvidia GPU. Check the YouTube link below:

It's an outside the box shot, but you could load direct9 and see if that helps.

RE: GAme will not start
check in game log files / error files in the log folder in game and post them, and also check your anti virus logs to see if that has stopped anything from running etc

Are you running it as Admin? Another low hanging fruit check.

running as admin and using the standard windows AV.
I've attached the app crash file from the windows.old folder which is created every time I try and launch the app. If there are other error files saved then please let me know where they are and I'll be happy to include them

RE: GAme will not start
It looks like the game is running from your Intel graphic chip and not from the Nvidia dedicated card.
Try setting the Power mode to High Performance:

RE: GAme will not start
Set it to high power mode and forced it back onto the Nvidia card half a dozen times - still the same behaviour. I'm also getting the corrupting behaviour with the manuals that another poster had commented on
To confirm
- I've ensured that all drivers and windows updates have been done
- set power to high performance
- am running as administrator
- have uninstalled, redownloaded the setup zip and rerun it and then reinstalled

RE: GAme will not start
If the error is always in the same module ig9icd32.dll then the Nvidia card is not being used by the game.
Hybrid (dual video chip) systems can sometimes be problematic.
I have only one more suggestion to offer.
Try to disable all background programs in case these are interfering with the normal running of the game.
You can do this by running msconfig and disabling all non-windows start-up programs and services.
Then once you have disabled all non-Microsoft services, please run the game and see if the issue persists.
If it does not, please then reopen msconfig and reenable those services, one by one, until you find the program causing the problem.
A tutorial on how to do this can be found below:

RE: GAme will not start
thanks all for your help but I'm still in limbo with the game.
- updated all video drivers (Nvidia and Intel - I did note that although diagnostics on the laptop indicated the intel driver was up to date when I dug deeper there was a newer one!)
- Run as administrator
- Turned off all other programs via msconfig
and still getting same result - launch the game and it goes to the game menu screen - launch the game and I just get nothing on any screens - I tried to find out more and it looks like the game is doing something somewhere just not on any screens I can see - I've tried with no monitor connected to the laptop and additional monitor connected but still nothing
I've attached - a latest dxdiag, s and also the task manager indicating it is running somewhere - just not on any monitor I can see!
Any other suggestions out there?

RE: GAme will not start
Hi all - finally got it working - but only works when you force it to the intel gpu - doesn’t work on the nvidia card.
