who is subjugating to whom?

In the below screenshot, you see the "Riigean Prime Confederacy" has 2 subjugated dominions, but I'm not sure if he is subjugatin them or are those 2 empires subjugating "Riigean Prime confederacy??

because if I click on either of 2 subjugating empires below then "Riigean Prime confederacy" yelow mark will be in reverse order that is from right to left. so hard to tell who is subjugating who here.

oh nice :D didn't know... I will update this post when I'm allowed to post links...
but probably you know what I'm talking about..
