'You have (explicitly or implicitly) attempted to load a database that does not exist in the DB folder.'

When the new scenario pack came out I deleted all my old ones and downloaded the new as usual, but each one gives me the above warning and refuses to open. I'm using v1.11 SR7, and DB 464. I assume there's some easy fix but haven't yet found the solution. Any ideas?

I am recently returned to the game after getting more time to really delve into it and learn the nuances. Great game. I had an old version installed and recently tried to update from version 1.09 to 1.12. After the update the game won't load. I get an error message that states: **Could no find a part of the path C\Matrix Games\Command Modern Air Naval Operations\Temp\instance'.**

Anyone have any ideas? Sorry if this one is common. I find so much posted on this game it's kinda difficult to sort it all.

Thanks for any replies.

Hi and welcome back!

Can you please delete the folder "C\Matrix Games\Command Modern Air Naval Operations\Temp\" (it's safe to do, it only holds temporary garbage) and try restarting?

Thanks.

Appreciate the suggestion, Sunburn. The excellent Joe Miller at Slitherine solved my issue. Looks like maybe bits and pieces of former installs were jamming things up. Now, here we go into the unfriendly skies of....everywhere? I'm gonna jump all over NI tonight and then go from there.Thanks.

Maybe that's why I have problems with the Tanker Wars scenario.... ? How should I know what to update... I mean if every scenario has "missing-important-loadouts"-bugs...

Then how to do it? Isn’t steam updating the db automatically?

Your problem is with community scenarios; I believe that Kobu is referring to paid scenarios like the stand-alones that come with the base game, and various DLC and LIVE scenarios.

Since the community scenarios are provided by third parties and free of charge it's not gauranteed that they will be kept up to date by their authors. If you have an issue with a community scenario the first point of contact is the author.

As for 'how to', refer to pages 78-90 of the Command Manual. All the information you need is there.
