E-mail location?

Korsun Pocket is a the second game using the award winning SSG Decisive Battles game engine. Korsun Pocket recreates the desperate German attempt to escape encirclement on the Russian Front early in 1944. The battle is a tense and exciting struggle, with neither side having a decisive advantage, as the Russians struggle to form the pocket, then try to resist successive German rescue efforts and last ditch attempts at breakout.

E-mail location?

Post by DonStone »

This feels like a foolish question, but I can't find or figure out the answer. Where do you place a received e-mail turn (.eml file) so that "load e-mail" will find it?

(I'm trying to do an e-mail turn w/ myself to see how it works)

these should be .dkp files...

They go in the \Korsun Pocket\SaveEmail\Play\ folder.

Also, if you associate .dkp files with korsun.exe, you should be able to simply double click on the attachment in your mail message and it will invoke KP and present you with your turn ready to play.

If anyone needs help with file association, please ask and I will try to explain how.

After exiting (either with "exit and send" or with "return to start"), I find ".eml" files in my "EmailSave/Sent" folder.

= is this a bug?
= something to do with the "e-mail sender"?

Hmm doesnt sound right.. mine just has the dkp files in there.

When you click on Exit and Send, does it bring up an email message item from your emailer with the other persons email already in the to address, and the dkp file attached as an attachment - waiting for you to enter some text in the body of the message and to press send?
Isn't that bizarre?

No, it doesn't.

But since posting this, I've done a little more exploration. See the bug report I posted in the Bugs folder.
