How to Hurt England

Post by IBender »

I have gotten pretty good as Germany in smashing english convoys in Bay of Biscay and surrounding areas. Uboats + Condors work wonders. If I put serious effort into it, I can really hurt the english economy.

My question is....how else can I hurt England? I do not seem (as germany) able to effectively strategic bomb england, an invasion is normally very unrealistic. What anti-english strategies have you guys found? If the allies play a given way, it normally seems to me that the english economy is always stronger than I would like it to be.

Thanks

Oneway is to allways let SUBs left at sea at the end of the turn to target loaded Allied TRS / AMPH returning to base.

Don't use the Food in Flames option, it is very Allied-friendly.

Use a combination of Italian and German SUB's in a sea area. The Italians can take combined actions so that the Germans still fight the CW convoys, even when Germany uses a land action against the Soviets.

Economically, one can hurt the CW even more, when the Euroaxis grab Gibraltar and Suez, which makes the Med an Italian lake. Than the Italian and German fleet combined can make things very difficult for the CW in the Atlantic. But that means a Sitzkrieg against the Soviets...
