Another cliffhanger. Those two battalions sure got mauled on their first day in action.
I'm wondering about the creek in the pictures. Is it frozen or dried up cause it looks like no water is there.
That school looks like a good building to set a defense in and fun place to attack too.

The truth is that I have not thought about the water in the stream. In the game this property does not influence.
The school was a strategic goal, but as the front approached the western bank of the Volga it was losing importance.

The legendary Chuikov gets stuck in now. I guess there is no leader card for him cause he is higher command? I heard he had both of hands wrapped up due to injury so he couldn't fire a pistol in combat if he wanted to join the fray. Which side attacked before dawn or both sides attacked?

Card for higher command:

As far as I know, there is no card for a high command. Anyway, the highest rank that participates in the game is Coronel, which is logical, because it is not often to see a General leading with a small group of soldiers.

If I'm not mistaken, both sides attacked simultaneously.

Hello asl3D

I'm new to Lock n Load Heroes of Stalingrad. I just picked it up 2 days ago.

I've been working through the tutorials one by one which I might add are pretty good in learning the overall game.

My question is on the mods presented here. If I'm reading correctly I need to have the most current version patched
in. Having that I guess I just need to download the "Core of Heroes and Leaders" mod and then install it right in the game folder
created on my rig. However is it automatically enabled once downloaded and unzipped or do I need to introduce this
mod with something like JSGME? I've used JSGME with Campaign Series Middle East and Tigers on the Hunt so I m familiar with it.

Any comments or help will be welcome.

Hello John, again.
Welcome "among the ruins".

Tutorials:
If I remember correctly, you come from SL/ASL.
I agree with you that "they are pretty good in learning the overall game", although there is a friend here who disagrees.

Most current version patched:
You just have to click on "Check for Update" in the boot menu (I include an image).

Download the "Core of Heroes and Leaders" mod:
When you download the "Core of Heroes and Leaders" mod, you will see that there is a "readme" file with all the instructions for its installation.
I have not thought about using JSGME or something similar. Installation is very simple and no further complications are necessary. In this sense, I am thinking of developing a small "Install" program to make it even easier to install, especially for those friends who are not minimally familiar with file management in the Windows environment.

I'm glad you decided to participate in this game. I'm sure you will not regret your decision. Your presence in this forum greatly enriches it.

If I get the chance today I'll take a look at those read me install docs and get my rig patched up to the latest
and greatest LnL.

The one thing that caught my eye about this game was the superb graphics of both the units and especially the terrain.
Seeing your many posts of terrain and units finally made me get my money out and become part of the LnL family.

I know I won't regret it. I'm already having fun with just the tutorials. Can't wait to get into some of the scenarios!
