Animations and windowed mode.

Post by amon15 »

Hi there, wanted to ask if there is any way of using the windowed mode without the animations being "jumpy". it seems that the window border in windowed mode is messing with the animations, so if you would have any advice, please share it. I also wanted to ask if it is possible to start the game in border-less windowed mode. Thx.

I can not answer your questin directly, but I use one shortcut set up for full screen to do the combat replay and another in windowed mode to input orders.
I could never seem to find a set of switches that would work in all situations.

I just had that problem after I had to switch to Win 10 from Win 7. I used my switch string from when the game was running under Win 7 and ran into the jumping artwork and animations when I played on Win 10.

I remembered someone mentioning that Win 10 does not "like" the -dd_sw switch, so I deleted that from my switch string and the jumping stopped. No adverse effects on anything else that I can tell. I have not had "bleedthrough" problems, perhaps because I am using a desktop computer rather than a laptop.
