Best learning scenarios?

Close Combat: Gateway to Caen is the latest release in the critically-acclaimed Close Combat series and focuses on the largest, concentrated British offensive since the Normandy landings in an attempt to penetrate the German lines west of Caen and cross the Odon River to get the stalled advance moving again.

Best learning scenarios?

Post by fatgreta1066 »

I bought this on sale and just tried my first battle, realized that I need some really small scale action to try to get my head around how to play this game. The scenario descriptions don't list (that I can see) numbers of units, etc. Any suggestions on where to start (I picked the first one)? Maybe use the editor to create a game with just a few squads or something?

If you play the defender in a scenario, once you have set up your forces there should not be too much for you to do at any one time. Might be worth trying that.
