SOW Waterloo and Windows 7

Forum dedicated to the Scourge of War Game set during the Napoleonic Wars. Scourge of War: Waterloo follows in the footsteps of its American Civil War predecessors and takes the action to one of the most famous battles in history. It is by far the most detailed game about the final battle of the War of the Seventh Coalition.

SOW Waterloo and Windows 7

Post by canuckgamer »

I have two computer, one running Windows 7 and one running Windows 10. I have SOW Gettysburg installed on my Win 7 one and it runs perfectly. I am debating buying SOW Waterloo Collector's Edition. I assume that if I installed it on my Win 10 computer I would have to run the game in Win 7 compatibility mode. If that is the case it would be easier to just install it on my Win 7 pc. Is that correct? Thanks.

correct, but imo it works better in windows 10, than on a windows 7 pc,. as windows 10 has better support and use of memory management etc plus more up to date driver support

I run it on my Windows 10 system without compatibility mode or anything else and it runs just fine.
