won't patch

Downloaded the patch here. I have the steam version.

When I try to install, it says I don't have the game.

I put the file in:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Strategic Command WWII World at War

So should I put it somewhere else?

If you have the Steam version it should automatically upgrade to the latest patch. So you do not need to install the one on Matrix's site.

The patch you downloaded from Matrix is only used for those people that do NOT get the game through Steam.

If you are downloading a beta patch (which is not an official patch so Steam will not install it for you), then you would need to install that in the directory you noted above.

But for any official patches, you do not need to download/install anything manually. Steam does it all for you [:)]

After making the post, I noticed the game said 1.01, and thought something was up even though I had got the error.

Now I know what happened. Thank you Numdydar.
