A bleak day, as Hue Falls, the troops run in the wrong direction, and Hanoi and Haiphong's days are numbered.

Allied air forces are strong in China...

I forgot to mention P40s too, plus all the bombers...

A pivotal fight...probably not, since the Allied tanks will arrive in the west. China will gone before 1943 starts.

In which direction did they retreat?

West, into the jungle where they will slowly starve, bypassed. Will miss those units. A large chunk of my western anti tank capability.

I'm willing to believe you, but it takes a lot more than two Wildcats to constitute "strong"!

OTOH, if they have no opposition, that means complete air supremacy!
Civil war? What does that mean? Is there any foreign war? Isn't every war fought between men, between brothers?

I once saw a TV news advertisement in NYC that their station had two traffic helicopters (while other stations then had one) giving them twice the air supremacy!

Here is the Soviet infantry push with few mechanized units...but lots of artillery. The 1st and 2nd Tank Divisions counter attack was split and out maneuvered by numerous Soviet units...and came to nothing...Soviets were much stronger here than initially spotted.

We hold for one more day, and two divisions and some tanks will arrive to solidify the defense.

End of October, 1942

The Soviet Chinese combined Army achieves another victory. I had two divisions and one armored unit attempting to arrive but they went from 43 miles to not arriving and staying in their own hex.

Of course the besieged troops then retreat to the north further behind enemy lines.

China falls. I bet I set a record.[;)]

Hiyo eats a torpedo, from another sub, which are simply thick as thieves. Damage is very light.

End of October 1942

A Soviet Tank Division gets crushed![:)] We won't talk about the air phase, as I foolishly lefty some ground attacks on trying to destroy B17s on the ground at Soviet air bases and flew into Lightnings, Vanguards, P40s.

Soviets have crossed the river with 17 units, and I am attempting to encircle them. However there are so many supply paths for them it will be tough.

Meanwhile, I was hoping to put a hurt on some soviet vehicles here, but not to be:

What a roll those guys had, and even superbly led, considering the IJA Tank Division has one of Japan's best leaders.

It is Nov 1, 1942, and Japan is seriously getting their butts kicked. Everywhere.

The close coordination between Soviets/Chinese/British/Dutch have just devastated the Empire. Soviet supplies feeding the Chinese. Combined Soviet/Chinese Spearheads. B17s flying from Soviet base.

Anyhow, Japan was looking forward to getting some Jacks up in the air...but for some stupid reason that I have never, ever seen before, all Japanese research and development stopped.

There are supplies...just no progress.

Anybody every see this before? It doesn't really matter, considering how Japan is getting so destroyed...but still.

Best I can figure is that with realistic R&D OFF, if you turn off repairs it will stop R&D. I was under the impression that there nothing the player could do to stop r&d, and I globally shut down repairs to conserve supplies.

Well, I guess I did conserve supplies.![;)]

You don't get R&D from a partially disabled factory.
