Replay not asked for

Post by Pocus »

Half of the time where my login is preset in sc3.ini, I don't get the 'would you like to see replay' window. I only get the dialog with the 2 counters visual, and then that's the turn without replay.

If I remove the 2 entries in sc3.ini, I'm asked if I want the replay 99% of the time. I say 99% because once, I was not asked for the replay, and had to terminate the app then launch it again to have the game asks for replay (as this was in PBEM against my son, I told him the situation, even if players are not aware of the number of reloads of the other side (they should but well, that's another debate!)).

I don't understand what you are doing with the INI file, but I have 3 games going, and in two of them it skips the screen asking if you want to see
the replay and all I see is the turn summary.

I have the steam version.

Depressing that you have no responses to this problem. I consider it a game breaker. Maybe everyone on vacation?

Due to the nature of how we had to interface with the PBEM++ server, not all game data is sent to the server (the files would be too large otherwise as our game has a lot of data) and a lot of static data is maintained on your computer as you play your PBEM++ games. As a result, there are instances where if you play a turn on one computer and then play a turn on another computer, a proper replay cannot be shown and will be skipped. But if you then continue on the other computer, proper replays will be shown after that once the game data is fully rebuilt.

This could be the issue here, unless of course you are not switching computers between turns.

Please let me know,
Hubert

Glad you guys got it figured out - but me, it's the same computer.

I have my privacy/security settings at super paranoia. Things like auto wiping of all my internet activity, cortana turned off, etc, since
I was a victim of identity theft. Could it be that one of these settings is somehow to blame?

But then again, I've had a few games where I see the replays...

I've saved one of them that I can send to you, Mr. Cater.
