Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945 is a turn-based World War II strategy game stretching across the entire Eastern Front. Gamers can engage in an epic campaign, including division-sized battles with realistic and historical terrain, weather, orders of battle, logistics and combat results.

This expansion to the award-winning War in the East comes with a wide array of later war scenarios ranging from short but intense 6 turn bouts like the Battle for Kharkov (1942) to immense 37-turn engagements taking place across multiple nations like Drama on the Danube (Summer 1944 – Spring 1945).

They are located in the National reserve. They never increase above 4 planes. Is this natural?

Yes. I think your talking about Stab units. They are the HQ unit for Geschwader or wing in the US or UK. Each Geschwader usually contained a Stab, and a number of gruppen identified in roman numeral as e.g. I/KG 1, II/KG 1 etc. See the manual section 8.1.4.1 for German group types.

That's correct.

Chris thank you for your answer. I reread the manual, thank you. Red what does "too close to the bone" mean? What are you suggesting? My father got the purple heart while building a bridge across the Rhine for 3rd army. If you are suggesting I am a Nazi or something you are way off track my friend.

The stab units always seem to have a much higher usage rate than other units. Why is this? Do the other units perform better is the Stab is there?

I've seen nothing to suggest they have any influence on other units which there would have in real life. I quess the reason they fly more often is they are smaller and can fit into the 100 aircraft limit imposed on a mission more easily. Section 16.3.1.

There have been complaints. There is no reflection on you or your family but some forum members don't wish to have Hitler blatantly appearing on the forum and I agree. As the Moderator I want to keep people happy - please help me do so.

If you are not happy please PM me as I have locked the thread due to others getting involved.
