Equipment data & editor

Post by alexrain »

Hi guys,
a question: any chance that I can import the .eqp files from the scenarios somewhere? I can only export and any changes to the files are not making any difference....

Many thanks for your help!

To use a different equipment file, there should be a folder with the name of the scenario in your Documents\My Games\The Operational Art of War IV\Graphics Override directory. Put the desired equipment file there. For example if you have a scenario named "battle", the folder for the modified equipment file would be:

Documents\My Games\The Operational Art of War IV\Graphics Override\battle\battle.eqp

Note the equipment file is renamed to match the scenario name. This is valid for version 4.0.0.11.

And when you load the scenario in the editor
you will get the error message something like "wrong eqp-file"
and that means your change in the eqp file has been read into the scenario.

so you should read the message - equipment in scenario has been changed according to the eqp-file.
