No barrage option

The new Cold War turned hot wargame from On Target Simulations, now expanded with the Player's Edition! Choose the NATO or Soviet forces in one of many scenarios or two linked campaigns. No effort was spared to model modern warfare realistically, including armor, infantry, helicopters, air support, artillery, electronic warfare, chemical and nuclear weapons. An innovative new asynchronous turn order means that OODA loops and various effects on C3 are accurately modeled as never before.

No barrage option

Post by MTTODD »

What would be the reason why my SPArty platoon of Abbots does not give me a Barrage option, only on-call ?

I am playing the Rhino scenario, it's the first round.

Many thanks.

Best guess is they are out of range of their local HQ. Are they red in color in the OB tree? Did you move them or the HQ a distance from each other? Are you playing the NM_BS Rhino scenario or the HM or WM versions?
OTS is looking forward to Southern Storm getting released!

Hi,

Thanks for your quick reply.

Yes you are correct, it was because they were out of HQ range, did not realise this would cause this.

I played the NM_ version. What is the difference between the different versions ?

Many thanks.

I was wondering about this too. I bought the players edition a couple years ago and it didn't grab me. I reinstalled it as Im painting some Team Yankee miniatures currently and this game is a lot of fun.

The NM abbreviation stands for NATO, medium. Medium sized scenario, balanced to be played as NATO against AI. The WM variant is balanced to be played as Warsaw Pact against AI. The HM variant is balanced for human to human.
