Right Wodin. Even a friend of this forum is working in the sense that you indicate.

However, and just to understand the reason why I preferred to make the counters with silhouettes, I attached a demonstration image.

In the image, the PzIII-J, which circulates on the road, looks "strange" if we represent it with the original format of "cardboard counters". In silhouette format you see "something" better, do not you think?

If we were playing with a board wargame, the cardboard counter format would be justified. It would be enough to get up from the game table, for example, and see the PzIII-J counter from the opposite side of the board.

But, with a computer, it does not seem elegant to me. The visual impact is not acceptable, at least for me.

your mod is fantastic. been following since the start. i'm having a lot of fun with it. its hard but don't change that part of it. i though agree with Wodin about the counters. My old eyes have a tough time with the silhouettes.

Silhouettes:

The origin of changing the traditional "cardboard counters" by silhouettes is the poor appearance of cardboard counters when they have to orient themselves in a certain direction. This happens with all vehicles and most on-board artillery. Finally, I made the decision to dispense with the traditional cardboard counters and create units that are better integrated in the board topography, with the aim of providing a more realistic image.
Another issue is the infantry units. But if we change the vehicles and the artillery, we have to change everything, right? It occurred to me that the infantry looked like cardboard counters, but "without cardboard." I was very hesitant to represent the infantry with an "overhead" view, such as vehicles and artillery. Finally I did not dare to do it.
