Editor Help Pleases !

Post by Tidavis »

I have read the manual dealing with the editor and can't find what I need.

How do you set the size of a new city that you place on map? I have played with the buttons and have yet to find a way to do this.

Any help is welcome!

In the Editor the different sizes are on the right side, scroll down until you find the size you want. You can also find the desired size on the map and right click on it to set it as the size to be drawn.

Thank you. That works but I was hoping for a way similar to the way you can edit the size of units.

Again, thank you for the answer.

If you mean the strength, this is based on the calculated supply levels that a city will receive during the supply calculation phase. But in order to set a higher default strength for a city or resource this can be done in the Campaign->Edit Country Data->Edit Resource Data screen.

Note there is a bug in that the max strength allowable is currently 20, but it should be 15 and will be fixed for the next update.

I guess I need some basic info. What exactly is the number on a city/port/mine supposed to represent? Population? MPP? Something else?

I want to add in some minor population/production centers to just about all the majors and a few minors. It seems that the only sizes available are 0, 3, 5, 8, 12 for cities.

Knowing is half the battle and I'm losing!

The numbers don't relate to population or anything similar, they are simply numbers. Here you can change those numbers:
Editor > Campaign > Edit Country Data > Edit Resource Data

The number represents the resource's in game strength.

This affects both its economic value and its supply giving abilities, and their maximum strength can be up to a maximum of 15 (in theory 20, but in practice 15 so don't set anything higher than that).
