Map centering calibration

Post by gliz2 »

Is there an option how I can choose where the map centers at start up of a turn? It's quite irritating in FITE2 where the map always starts in some freakish point in Norway [:@]

Doesn't it start where your last selected unit is located ?

EDIT: Nope [:(]

For FitE2 it will put you in Norway as the Axis player on the first turn. But the mini map is centered somewhere around Pskov. On turns after that it seems to put you in Norway again but the mini map is centered on the last unit moved. The Soviet side has similar issues but you don't go to Norway. So it's not a huge issue.

If duct tape doesn't fix it then you are not using enough duct tape.

I just tried it and it always starts the turn at the first unit in the OOB. If relocating the First Unit is an option then do that. Otherwise, the Mini-Map stays the same from end of turn to beginning of turn, so if you carefully remember at the end of each turn to move the Mini-Map to where you want it, you can make the jump out of Norway.

Oh, and don't forget the Jump Map! Although for FiTE2 it takes a few seconds to generate.

You COULD just right-click on the mini-map to center the game map on the currently selected unit.
