Missing oil point

Version 2.9.5 - Folly a deux game.

No oil resources currently saved (spent on reorg). Two resources due to be saved at Bratislava.

Moving forwards to the DoW step in ND 39 1.

Only 1 oil is saved at Bratislava. We can't find any reason why the 2 oils could not be saved there. Is this a bug? Game file to follow.

It certainly appears to be a bug. I can't see why if one saves there, the other would not.

If you can save them both in a German city, that would prove it's a bug and perhaps assist in diagnosing it.

Ahh I see something. The oil from Ploesti cannot get to Italy because of blocked RR lines. I suppose it could go round about through USSR but that requires USSR approval and I think the game always assumes the opposite side does not grant it in such cases. Likewise for France acting on behalf of Yugoslavia and saying 'No' to a path through to neutral Italy.) It could (and by rule should) go via Greece and then via the CP in the Italian Coast, but that requires the loss of the Sardinian resource.

Why it affects the second oil to Germany may be due to the order the program evaluates sending them.

So it's a bug but there's at least a theory as to why. Have you looked at whether Italy is getting their oil?

The Italian oil is correct i.e. there was no Italian oil getting to Italy. Didn't check if the Greek route would work as I wanted the non-oil resource more.

The issue is the Bratislava oil. I can't save one of them in a German city because the program (correctly) doesn't allow the transport beyond Bratislava. So both oil have to go to the Czechoslovak city. But one then disappears in final planning - and it is definitely NOT used in production (see the AAR) for further explanation.

Sometime back I thought there was a bug with saving more than one resource point in a hex. It might have been BP’s or both. It was fixed ages ago but this has shades of that. Revision bug?
