Is there any way to scrap a naval unit like you can a land unit? I swear there was a way a few versions ago. Am i missing something?

Years ago there was, but it was removed as players considered it unrealistic and gamey, e.g. the French fleet would be disbanded to buy another Army to defend Paris with.

Thanks Bill. Can I suggest it make a comeback as an option? I was going to use it as a way to change the composition of Task Forces.

If you could limit it somehow where the refunded MPP could only be used to reinforce other (or build new) Ships/TF (but not subs) it would make sense and not be considered so gamey.
I don't own WaW (just WiE) but I often wind up with ships at low strength points that I just park and never use again. Not worth repairing and don't want to take the Morale hit if they get sunk. It would be nice to disband them (i.e. reassign the remaining ships) to repair the ships I'm still using or to build new ships (typically DD and/or CVL).
