Let's stop insulting the efforts of well meaning designers. Periode. Let's give them meaningful advice. These guys put their reputations on the line. And I applaud them for it.

Yes, you and others are insulting the efforts of the Community and just stop it. The designer came out of our community in this instance. He did his best given a short timeline for publication.

Absolutely. Everyone has to start somewhere. Negative reactions like I'm seeing here is corrosive, not only to the author but to anyone who's considering putting something out for public consumption. It chills the source for new content because no one wants to be harshly judged on their good-faith efforts.

I'm not saying don't provide feedback but please do so respectfully and constructively.

BDukes ... your posts in this thread are not at all offensive. A few of us are saying that the thread is not productive. That's all.

Tailhook provided too many spoilers and he should have known better. Once purchasing a LIVE, and you have issues, contact the designer or Daniele before
ruining it for all involved by going public.

You’re attacking him for have same things in pro review. Unlike reviews though he nice enough to provide directions to fix. Did he not?

Rest of Wargame world read this and think you’re pushing back on any customer that find valid things. This probably 106 times more harm then negative post.

I think you should probably not do get worked up over. You are over react. Suggest go play game, hump somebody or anything else than this

Thank

BD

Sure you are. Don't be so sensitive. Your use of the word "hump" was classic.

Let's get back to wargaming.

AKA "The Hump was the name given by Allied pilots in the Second World War to the eastern end of the Himalayan Mountains over which they flew military transport aircraft from India to China to resupply the Chinese war effort of Chiang Kai-shek and the units of the United States Army Air Forces (AAF) based in China."

Kindly point out any spoilers Tailhook leaked. All I see are comments about the ORBAT being inconsistent with real world profiles. Anything else he/she mentioned are available to any player, since we have access to both sides in the game.

Couple of minor issues

The piers and radio station on orchilla island are located underwater ;-)

Most of the KC-46 are set with refuel doctrine set to not allow.

I've noticed the US fuelers all come into range of the S400 battery and are knocked down. (I haven't played it on the US side yet). This happens several times as well.

Since my post I have been in direct contact with the scenario designer in regards to the ORBAT and we have made nice progress on tightening it up while still maintaining the feel and intent of the scenario. Nothing I posted was spoilers as I made it without even unpausing the scenario. It was no different than any other post on any other scenario offering constructive criticism.

I haven't yet found time to play this scenario myself, but I like the timely context and the idea of this escalating. Great to see that feedback from the community individuals who obviously know their stuff quite well is heard and implemented! :) Can't wait to try this one out.

I think this basic setup would also make an interesting version that would be more asymmetric. That is, without much of Russian presence other than perhaps some subs and the strategic bombers that tick the intervention, but maybe some technological and advisor aid in forms of few advanced SAM systems and limited numbers of tactical aircraft.

I know the land war is a bit out of the scope of the scenario, but both US Striker Companies in Cúcuta and Arauca don’t have a chance against the Venezuelan mechanized forces. The Striker units do not have any anti-tank assets. It feels odd seeing the Colombian Army outperforming the US Army.

Also, the Venezuelan forces move at around 34 mph in very restrictive terrain devoid of proper infrastructure.

Cheers,
