Mountain Tropical

Post by John B. »

I see that in the rule book (yes, I actually looked) there is the terrain type Mountain but on the map there is a separate terrain type known as mountain tropical. What is the difference between the two? My guess is that they act the same but that mountain tropical is in the malaria zone. Is that true? Or, does this terrain also offer protection from air attack like jungle?

Not malaria, no. MT hexes go hand in hand with Mtn in New Guinea for example, which is entirely inside malaria zone.

Are you referring to what shows on the map as "MT"?

witpqs, Yes, on the map is says MT and in the terrain chart on the map that is referred to as mountain tropical. Does it have any other effect than the mountain terrain listed in the rule book?

No snow! But high enough not have mosquitoes and malaria!
