In the manual there is:

2.3.18. Map " Generate Full Map Screenshots (F8)

I have tried this (in the editor). The game is doing something that takes maybe 30 seconds, but no map shows up in the named folder. If I use F8 while playing it makes an screenshot of the present situation within what I can see, however.

Any views about this? I very much would like a screenshot covering the entire map.

To take screenshots of the whole map, press F8.
A subfolder called Screenshots containing
multiple images of your map will be created in
the folder: User\Documents\My Games\Strategic
Command WWII: War in Europe

I do see this on my computer [when I F8 in the Editor], and it does generate about 200 png files of sections of the map.

I see. 200 files wasn't exactly what I was hoping for, but, nevertheless, I can't see any map in the named folder. Could you drop me a hint about the name/names the system uses for these files. Maybe they go elsewhere and I can locate them via "search".

No, I can't see those. Odd. But I was perhaps mistaken regarding the overall map. I thought the system would draw one huge map of the game-map in finest detail. I have the ability to print at work and was planning to make a 100x150 cm map, so that I could study the world like Uncle Adolph. Suppose it was to good to be true. [:(]

You can splice all 200 of those together and get your map to print out. If you don't want to splice it yourself I will do it for you for the standard map splice fee of $7,000 USD [;)]

If I only had the maps I could of course make maps of only the most vital areas. Must try it again.
