modified ASW MQ-8 with sonobuoy loadout will not drop sonobuoys

I want to create an ASW version of the MQ-8C. I added a dipping sonar. I also used LUA to assign a MH-60R ASW loadout with sonobuoys and torpedoes to be the MQ-8C loadout.

I assigned the MQ-8 to an asw patrol searching for a SSN with active sonar emcom. The MQ-8 used it's dipping sonar as expected. However, it never dropped any sonobuoys despite having them as a loadout.

Is there something I'm missing to get the MQ-8 to use the sonobuoys?

Don't have access to the game to check at the moment, but do the sonobouys require a datalink also be added to the MQ-8?
