I don't understand the picture...the mouse is pointing at an Iboat, which two ships...American ships spotted by a divebomber?

The IJN submarine symbol is actually two IJN surface ships. They are heading east.

The fleet is heading NW to continue advance and jog out of search range. There is a chance the Empire will conclude the ships were spotted by DB's out of Johnston Island.

• Our maneuvering toward the mountain redoubt gained a little benefit when an enemy unit moved off-road when trying to cut off some of our units. One of our guys won the foot race and certainly was not noticed in time.

Crikey! I need to clean house this week, and my little 'office', and catch up on things.

Outside chores are off the books for at least a week. The 1.5 feet plus of snow is freezing hard at 4.9 degrees outside the house right now and 45 minutes to sunrise. Melt-away will be slow.

Over in Flagstaff (90 minutes away) they got 40.3 inches at the airport for the whole storm, 35.9 inches on Thursday alone.

Darwin is very slowly repairing base damage. Daily air strikes and frequent naval bombardments stymie our efforts.

One or more additional IJ units is moving toward Akyab and today there are ships present. What is the Empire planning or doing? Supply going in? Current unit rotating out? Bolstering defense? Some form of offensive coming up?

We are hard up against it in China. On the road east of Kunming are some good units we thought to have defending in front of Kunming by this time, now we must extract them somehow.

USA 4EB production will be fully dedicated to operations from Ledo to support defense of the mountain redoubt in China.

I suspect if the Allies make it priority one from game start to air ship supplies into China, that the fight there turns out very differently. JFB's have gotten very good at taking China, but so far I have only seen a handful of players defend it somewhat effectively.

The Chinese are incredible diggers, and by now there should be several decent Corps dug in at levels 5-6 in some of those mountain passes.

I have some other thoughts, but need to double check them first in tracker.

To my mind, in the early war the Allies need to create the air supply bridge to China. That, and attempt to engage the IJN during daytime with surface fleets.

edit: for your consideration:

Chinese Stengths: great with shovel, plentiful hqs, off base x3 terrain.
Weakness: AT capability, AA ability, supply

For this situation: Fly some British and Indian elements in to help offset Chinese weakness, air supply to keep festungs supplied.
