Appreciation

Post by taveston »

I just wanted to say, I think this is an excellent game. I came from TripleA Axis and Allies PBEM and this leaves it in the dust. Also, this game is so much better than Hearts of Iron. Well done devs!

Thumps up, agreed. This game is a classic, belongs in any gamer's catalog.

Yeah, seriously. This is quite frankly the best wargame I've played in a decade.

Thirty-Eight years of cardboard/PC gaming experience and I am Very Impressed with World-at-War. New personal favorite over WitpAE. A fun and simple, yet attractive, interface with a complex cruncher underneath. Like the nuts and bolts? Then read the manual, she is no shallow gal. Looking forward to my first PBEM soon... Outstanding Job Gentlemen!

That's really a very very good wargame and formula, reducing complex issues in simple commands and mechanics (on the surface), in a simulation so surprisingly similar to reality and to what history could have been

Middle of 7 games of the '39 Stock Campaign. Have played the '43 Axis Turn tide, like it also.

Game Rocks.

IMHO, the best strategic ever, for the balance between realism, playability and interface
No comparison with HOI

The thing I miss the most is the possibility to put the units in a sort of 'Tactical Reserve' mode (like TOAW), to react in support of adjacent ones

thank you

Excellent game indeed!
