No more partisans in Russia after surrender?

Post by rob89 »

Question:

it seems that there are no more partisans in Russia after the USSR surrender.
Is it true ? Is it only temporary?

thanks

It is true. I just finished a 1942 Race Campaign as Axis. When the Soviet Union surrenders, all partisan activity stops. I'm not sure that it is realistic, but that is how it is in the game.

Hi

The issue here is that if the USSR is divided between the Axis, then in engine terms it ceases to exist, and as a result there can be no Partisan activity.

There isn't really a foolproof way around it, apart from deactivating the Decision Event that triggers the USSR to be divided.

Maybe the territories should be turned into US (allied) nation (and occupied by the new owner Germany/Japan) and than US (SU) partisans can be pop from them. This would make them less powerful economically, a bit more realistic to continue the war. The instant full integration of those territories are a bit surreal anyway.
