British / UK Loadouts for the F-35

Post by harpoon731 »

I recall there being UK specific load outs at one time for the F-35? I'm not seeing them even after selecting the UK versions of the bird... Am I missing something?

I'm not sure what's missing. The British versions are still in the DB:

Version of year 2025 (DB #4699) has specific British loadouts. Meteor, Brimstone 2, Storm Shadow...

The 2018 RAF birds don't have any Brit load outs, which is kind of annoying ! lol

In real life no F-35 is integrated with the Meteor, SPEAR 3 or Storm Shadow; those are slated for integration in Block 4 or later (I think Storm Shadow was dropped or delayed as a Typhoon can launch it from well outside enemy airspace). The current real world UK loadouts just have UK-specific Paveway IV laser guided bombs and ASRAAMs on the external outer-most wing pylons:

Well they don't have them IRL either, so why should they have them here? :)

I think British F-35s will have Meteor by 2024 rather than 2025.

Moreover, they will have SPEAR3 rather than Storm Shadow.

Thanks :) Didn't realize the Meteors hadn't been certified yet. :)
