Chinese survivors?

Post by Yogol »

Hi! Playing the game and loving it!

Finished the game as Axis on the highest difficulty level and trying it now as Allies. That is NOT going well! Particularly in China...

But... I have noticed that sometimes, I get free units: "survivors" from cities that have been taken by the Japanese.

Does anyone knows under which exact conditions these free units appear? Because I need those units, else Japan simply overruns China in 1942 or 1943, no matter how I try and retry!

Hi,

They are Event Scripts in the Unit file.

The 'New Army In Sian After Fall Of Chengchow' major conditions are;
-Japan politically aligned with Axis and not surrendered
-Japanese unit in Chengchow

This is the file path (providing your game is on Windows and installed with the defaults):
C:\Program Files (x86)\Matrix Games\Strategic Command WWII - World at War\Campaigns\_1939 World at War\Scripts\Events

Thanks, but I was more looking for the conditions, like if there has to be a unit in the conquered city (e.g. Chengow)? And what happens if there is a unit in the other city (e.g. Sian)? Or when the city is bombed to supply 0. Or is completely surrounded.

There does not have to be a Chinese unit in a Chengow for the "survivors" to appear in the other city.

If Chengow is bombed to zero or surrounded it does not have an effect on the "survivors," they still appear in the other city.
