The Finlanders, of course.

You already know the answer.
Finland has made three commitments to Hitler, all of which they're currently honoring

1. Protect Petsamo and ensure that it's RP reaches a German controlled factory.

2. Cut the rail-line between Murmansk and the rest of the Soviet Union.

3. Contribute troops to Germany for the general war-effort against the Soviet Union.

With respect to (3), the Finns have contributed the II Finish infantry corps to German to be used as the Germans see fit. Of course, Hitler is pushing Finland to contribute more forces but so far they've resisted those requests and will likely continue to do so. The only exception in the foreseeable future is a possible link-up of Finnish and Wehrmacht troops in the region between Lake Onega, Novgorod and Leningrad. Beyond that, the Finns have no national will to expand their war-effort contribution to Hitler.

Turn 14. Nov/Dec 1941. Allied #7.

Weather. Winter weather finally hits in the arctic and north temperate and the weather turns a bit nasty everywhere except in the north monsoon.

Great Britain "Sicilian" Wargaming exercise. The British military conducted a "quick" wargaming study to determine the feasibility of conducting another assault on Palermo this turn. However, PWIN was estimated at only 8 to 15% and with an estimated chance between 10 to 14% of losing 3 ground units. The loss of 3 units would make the currently secure British bridgehead in Sicily very insecure. Therefore, no further assaults by the British to take Palermo will be made this turn.

Actions. USSR - land, China - land, Free France - naval, Great Britain - naval, USA - combine.

Turn 14. Nov/Dec 1941. Allied #7.

Great Britain. The Italian Coast. Sicily. (Post Naval Moves).

Of Note. The Queens who were organized and on supply duty in the 1-box of the Italian Coast, was returned to base to Trapani, Sicily. However, on the return the Queens took a detour to Gibraltar, picked up the British II infantry corps and carried them back to Trapani.

Turn 14. Nov/Dec 1941. Allied #7.

Great Britain. The Italian Coast. Round 1.

The RN and French navy are able to surprise the two Italian air groups in the 0-box and elect to fight a naval air battle. All carrier planes fly as fighters and the allies use their surprise points to minimize risk to their own planes. However, flying all the carrier planes as fighters leaves the highly valuable Sunderland land 4 air group exposed, albeit at -4 air-to-air value.

The Italian fighter group though outnumber and outgunned manages to down an RAF Beua fighter (FTR3) air group reinforcing the "careless" risk that the Sunderland air group was in. The Italian fighter group in return is downed by the RAF.

Turn 14. Nov/Dec 1941. Allied #7.

Great Britain. The Italian Coast. Round 2. The surviving Italian air group voluntarily aborts from the Italian Coast leaving the sea area fully controlled by the Royal and French Navies. Though, which no undamaged warships left and no need to supply or transport across the Italian Coast sea area this really isn't an issue for the Italians.

End of Turn Check. The turn continues on a roll of 4 (< 2 required to end turn).

Turn 14. Nov/Dec 1941. Axis #9.

Euro-Axis. The Eastern Front. Land Combat 2/3. The surrounded and (mostly) out of supply Soviet armies put up a bitter defense and survive against a blitz attack that had a better than 95% of succeeding, which would have meant the destruction of these Soviet forces.

Turn 14. Nov/Dec 1941. Axis #9.

Euro-Axis. The Eastern Front. Land Combat 3/3. Though technically a loss, the Soviet infantry division executes a masterful retreating action.

The Soviet defenders fought very though this impulse.
