Paratroops range too far?

Post by Ancient One »

I've noticed the range for paratroops in World at War has not been reduced from War in Europe, despite the different map scale. I think the range of 6 plus long range tech is too high in this case. The ranges of air units were reduced, why not paratroops?

Seems about right to me. I always thought the range was too short in WIE.

Either way it needs to be fixed in one or both games but we need to debate here to figure out which game needs to be fixed now that we agree it need to be fixed, lol. [;)]

Agreed about the discussion! [:)]

I did consider changing it for World at War but looking at the map I wasn't convinced that a shorter range would be better.

But then as it doesn't seem to have caused any issues in War in Europe nearly 2.5 years after that game was released, maybe it's fine there as it is too?

Paratroops range too far? The problem is the Bridge.

Well, as you know, I always felt we went a Bridge Too Far.

Speaking of paratroops why do they not carry some supply like the special forces and snlf do?

Because at this timescale that would mean the paratroops dropped with a month's worth of supplies.
