Possible supply grid anomaly?

Post by Christolos »

I have a cutoff mech unit in the Caucasus that is at supply level 0, but when I click to check the supply grid, I get this:
Image

The middle frame is the first click to see the current supply grid, and the third frame on the right is after the second click to see the projected supply grid for the next turn.

I don't understand why better supply is projected with the second click. [&:]

Presuming it works like WiE, then what you are seeing is your projected supply in the hex next turn (presuming you take the hex).
That functionality does not ever show your opponent's projected supply only yours.
The first click shows your supply this turn, the 2nd click shows what it will be on the following turn and presumes all hexes are under your control. You can experiment with it by checking the 2nd click, then move a HQ and recheck the 2nd click and you should see some differences.

Hi Taxman66,

I understand what the first and second clicks are supposed to reveal (I use this all the time), but I don't understand why the supply situation is revealed as improving in my turn under the circumstances. The hex that my unit controls is surrounded and at supply 0...why would it go to supply 6 on my next turn?

In fact, my opponent attacked it on his turn after and it was destroyed...
I have never seen a projected supply grid improve in enemy controlled areas, so I don't know what it is I am missing here[&:].

Thanks,

C

Sorry, I had assumed that was from the Axis perspective.
If from the Allied then I'm not sure what is going on. A clue might be the supply levels in the Caspian Sea, is there a nearby port providing the high supply into the water hexes? That may be where the bug display bug is carrying it over to the surrounded land hex as a '6'.
