In mid-war, Germany may be (if it has occupied Russia) rich in resources (MPPs), while Italy remains extremely poor. Why not envisage a possible transfer of MPPs?

Just have an Italian unit take Paris, Athens, and Belgrade. Problem solved. Well, except for how weak the Germans will be comparatively to their historical strength.

Yes, I know, but sorry, in the case of Paris (and so all the MPPs of France) that's not a solution but a not historical trick [:D]

I would rather, if possible, historically plausible solutions ...

Maybe if Russia had folded historically, Germany would have rewarded its' allies. Rumania, Hungary and Finland would have been given small parts of Russia. What should Italy get for their contribution to Russia's collapse? One of Russia's Resources, or a straight up MPP transfer from Germany to Italy?

I agree with Rob89. I've begun work on my mod (Fall Weiss II) on the world map and I've included scripts to this effect like the one below. I do think any MPP sharing with Italy should remain constrained and minimal so that Italy remains the weak underside of the Axis that she was.
