RE: Nach Frankreich 1940
There are two versions of the scenario, one is for a Human German player vs. the Western Allies PO and the second version is for Human vs. Human and Human Western Allies vs. the German PO. Check the Scenario Briefing to verify which you are playing.
The German player has the option of facing the Historic Allied Plan [French 7th Army into northern Belgium] or an Alternate Plan [French 7th Army in reserve northeast of Paris]. The German player also has the option to relocate the spearhead of the attack [Guderian's XIX Korp] prior to the start of play.

sPzAbt653, this looks magnificent. Reminds me of the old Avalon Hill board game in days of yore.
How have the Allies fared in your version? Any surprises for Gerry?

RE: Nach Frankreich 1940
Beautiful map. Could also serve as the map for a 1944-45 campaign.
Cheers

RE: Nach Frankreich 1940
Nice to see a good & detailed scenario for the Battle of France, I remember back in the CoW times there was none as no designer seemed to succeed in depicting this Blitzkrieg correctly as it was different from the way it went in Poland.
Now as usual I took a look at the equipment, that thankful differs from the standard database, and find the German tanks worth a discussion.
I think there is a misunderstanding or mix up regarding the Panzer III, I looked through other German tanks & tank like equipment and compared values and I can only come to the conclusion that the PzIIIF in the game depicts the version with the new 5cm gun that came in late in the production of the F series. Unfortunately these were first accepted(only accepted and not not delivered to the troops) in July 1940 and all till then build PzIII had a 3,7cm gun.
So the PzIIIE would have to replace the F that are currently in all German units, and the F should at best come in sometimes in July 1940 with a rate of 1 per turn.
Besides this I wonder about the rather high AT values of the PzI & PzII, former only had machine guns while the later had a machine canon but only of 2cm that had about half the penetration capacity of the 3,7cm tank guns. Giving them a value of 3 seems pretty high if you consider that the real tank canons of 3,7cm use 4. I would rather use 2 on the PzII and only 1 on the PzI.

It is a fine scneario with only one drawback, the color of the Dutch... It's hard to see which units can move or not...the orange stripe on an orange counter

RE: Nach Frankreich 1940
We really did need one, it was aggravating that the best wargame didh't have the best scenario for France 1940, one of the most influential battles of WWII.Nice to see a good & detailed scenario for the Battle of France
We used the Database designed by Derek Weichs (Panzer_War). Any discussion could only be qualified by him. Sadly, he hasn't posted or logged in here since 2015. Hopefully all is well with him and simply has found no reason be here.
