Sea Movement of Air Units

Fury Games has now signed with Matrix Games, and we are working together on the next Strategic Command. Will use the Slitherine PBEM++ server for asynchronous multi-player.

Sea Movement of Air Units

Post by SandyReese »

Transporting most units - you right click on them in a port and it shows a transport option. My Air units do not have such an option. Do you need to increase a technology or is there some other way to make them move by sea (its a long way from the USA to Britain.

You have to right click and choose "Operate" then gasp at how much it costs and chose to do it anyway.

Thanks for the response but I tried that for an air unit - the operate does not give me sea movement. I need to put an air unit on a transport somehow. Perhaps I am doing something wrong. What do I need to do after I get the "Operate" up?

Some air units will be limited to the areas that they can operate. For example, Japanese and German air units cannot operate to each other's territory and so on.

However, friendly and fully cooperative Allies such as the US and UK air units can operate to and from each other's friendly territory but they both need to be fully mobilized and have a common belligerent which is typically the case once the US enters the war.

Thanks finally figured it out. It was counter intuitive to just fly a plane to Britain instead of putting it on a ship.
