AI and air units

Post by rob89 »

AI reforms land units destroyed even more times.
An example in my gameplay is the British BEF.

But it seems instead that AI doesn't love air units, given that, again in my example, the RAF has not even reconstituted a destroyed unit.

I checked in the editor. The air units are fully reformable

But then, why does AI behave like this?

thanks

Hi Rob,

Thanks for this and this is related to how the engine interprets the scripts whereby if the unit type is not currently scripted to be built by the AI, it will not rebuild this particular unit type. However I think this can be too restrictive as you've found, and especially at the wrong time, so I will lift this restriction and simply have the AI rebuild reformable units, scripted or not, and assuming the build limit allows for it. The latter part is only because in some cases we have units that are on the map that have 0 build limits such as the early Soviet Light tanks that appear during Barbarossa etc.

Consider this amended for the next build,
Hubert
