Can I turn off intelligence reports in scenario 1 without turning off messages?

Post by fatgreta1066 »

In scenario 1 I keep getting pop ups saying "Intelligence Report: xxx destroyed." Usually an Iraqi tank platoon or a Kuwaiti oil well. Those messages freeze the game. I've never actually seen anything like them playing Command before, they aren't graphically similar to the messages that pop up for things like new orders, etc. I'd like to turn them off. When I go to game options, the only things selected to pop up are scenario events and special events. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Chris

Bump? Those things really slow down progress in the scenario.

I don't think you can disable those at the moment, sorry. They are meant to convey important information to the player and are thus not able to be disabled. (Let's say we make it possible to disable them. Next bug report: "I did not receive critical message XYZ because I had this message type disabled". So damned if we do and damned if we don't).

If it is really annoying you, you can edit the scenario and remove that action using the Event Editor.

Would a better solution be to have unit loss notifications stay with the traditional special messages, which the user can toggle?

Then keep the intel reports for things that are not already covered in traditional special messages?
