It is now like the "new" ones ie CC IV & later with the limiting force pool etc based on the strategic map without the flexibility that the original had. Frankly liked CC2 & CC3 the best because of that, the original developer was daft when they took some idiot gaming mag rag's confusion to heart about the requisition page being confusing - it was quite strait forward on what it did. And made for some interesting scenario creations because it didn't confine you to predetermined units.

I agree as well. It was definitely the case that different units occupied the same areas, and executed joint operations in the same sectors.
