Wrong Pricing Shown

Post by planetbrain »

Wanted to advise that your pricing, when shown in Australian dollars, is way out. Just purchased "World in Flames".
It is currently discounted to $US39.99 & it is shown that it will cost me $AU47.99.
In fact it cost me $AU58.28.
That is a rather large discrepancy, don't you think?
The exchange rate for your games, when available on Steam, are far more accurate.[:@]

I'm sorry you are having problems with this. However this is due to the PayPal price being charged in USD, so as a result they do a currency conversion using their own rates, which are different from our own. However this is shown on the PayPal page when you are completing the transaction, as it shows the currency conversion rate and therefore the price charged.

Yes, it may make a SLIGHT difference in price, it just isn't anywhere near THAT much. Matrix has the conversion rate wrong is nearer the explanation. Can they not be like Steam where the prices for Matrix products shown in $AU is the price charged, not finally over 20% more.
Sorry, but I do not accept the explanation provided as satisfactory.

I might add that at the current exchange rate the price should indicate $AU56.07 , not $AU47.99

But don't bother fixing it. Just make out it's my misunderstanding of the situation. I'm done
