The Adak invasion is a go, the 24th Army HQ will provide leadership, two full divisions at 100 prep will land into the teeth of American CD guns and what is no doubt a heavily fortified base in the winter time.
I wonder if 2 ID's are enough if there is a full USA DIV present … This is Dec 42, so I would be worried about a couple of Tank Bn's. I don't have your intel, so not sure what might be there.

Continuous BB bombardments can eventually wreck everything on Adak. Specifically running up the disruption of the strong defenders. Invasion forces would still take some time to prevail though, mainly due to that 30% winter disablement

I'm not saying it can't be done, and yes bombardments are one way to do it.
Just saying that this will be interesting and I will be enjoying watching this. [;)]
With dawn, the invasion beach is a mess. Only one battleship provides cover, but many AMCs' step up and provide return fire...still 2 transports are hit, and the troops take more losses landing .... but the beach head is reinforced.
American subs try to hit the massive number of IJN shipping present...but strong aerial search and good destroyers and ASW task forces keep them at bay for now.
A small supply convoy arrives, with a last minute addition of troops on board a slow merchantman, and the supplies are unloaded, but the troops gets punished...I wonder if it is both troops on the beach or just on the merchantman (as there are nowhere near that number on the merchant)?
In relatively good shape...those guys can really dig with their shovels! They must have blundered into abandoned defensive structures? Don't think I ever saw that before.
