Japanese air units appearing on the Eastern Front

In two of my games, in both of which I was playing the Allied side with FOW on, Russian forces encountered Japanese air units behind German lines in the USSR.

I have no idea what happened there (because of FOW) but I don’t think that it should have happened.

Which version, which scenario, and which type of opponent ?

Current, all of them, vs AI.

Could be alot of things:

1) There's a legit bug
2) You've been drinking heavily
3) Got some good bud, colors little off
4) An Omen, to start playing humans PBEM
5) Japs like Eastern Europe.
6) Probably just graphics issue, some Java B.S.

I'll agree with you, vote #1 & #6, until more evidence is revealed.

It’s happened in the 39 and 42 scenarios, in v 1.02, vs. the AI.

That's odd indeed and if it is not a mod, very surprising as I've yet to see this or have it reported as Japanese air units would otherwise be very unlikely to be in a position behind German lines due to their non cooperative status.

Since Japanese units cannot get supply from German sources this just seems like a waste.

Hubert: Sadly those saves have been deleted. The only mod I had/have installed in the Iron Cross counter/map mod, which should not have affected this in any way.

I have since reinstalled the game. Hopefully the problem is gone for good.
