Scenario Info Tool

Post by Zovs »

Is there a scenario info tool anywhere?

One of the things about the old Rugged Defense site was you could search for a scenario and read all about it, I know you can do a scenario dump or spend hours browsing through all the scenarios but it would be great if we had a tool that allowed you to search by parameters (complexity, map size, units size, year, theater) and then pull up that scenario's pertinent data.

I think a browser would be best, I dislike spreadsheets for this type of thing.

So is there any web sites, or tools out there that has this type of feature? (think Rugged Defense)...?

You can be the first to make one. Or the second I guess. You might try contacting the person(s) who ran the Rugged Defense site to see if you can get their stuff. They aren't using it.

If duct tape doesn't fix it then you are not using enough duct tape.

You could read the header on the scenario briefing area to get the complexity info for all those scenarios that have that info in their scenario briefing.

There's a TOAW 3 scenario description document in the game folder for TOAW 4, I think (or maybe just TOAW 3). Obviously doesn't cover every scenario but its like 50 pages long.

But I definitely miss the Rugged Defense site
