Well that ended alright. The fourth time was the charm.

The biggest issue I had was determining how long it would take for my aircraft to turnaround. I had to change the start time of some of my missions because planes were not ready.

Overall, this was a fun challenge.

Thanks for the AAR Mike.

To speak to your comment in post #4 about how close then need to get to positively ID the target. Remember that this is at night (assuming as the clip has 05:13 Local) with 1960's era (earlier for the Lightnings) radars. The weather may also be a factor, if there is cloud cover or precipitation, another factor is pilot skill.

In these situations you probably need to make the call. I saw you marked some contacts as unfriendly, you may want to go a step further and mark them hostile. The risk of course is that you shoot down a civilian which is rarely good, but based on point of origin, speed, behaviour and degree of risk - you can make that call. Puts you back in the operational level chair that the game is designed for. Its all about choices.

Thanks again.

Bart,

Very good point, it is something I never thought about - that it was still dark out. In most of the other tutorials the sensors were identifying things for you. I'm going to have to consider more things - like visibility.

Have a good day
Mike
