I was playing the missions you gave me to replace incase they other ones were outdated... I was able to sink 2 CV's and my score was just about a 1000... I looked at the scoring and it seems to me it might not have enough pts to pass at this point. I dont want to complain over and over. Im really trying not too... I can sink all 4 even with the changes Im not sure it will help. I thought of the plan that will work.. I just need to send the subs deep and have them pop up under the cV's.. Im sure that will get all 4 I just think it might not work anyway...

I am Reinstalling all of command. I was able to find the save games so I moved those. I am going to try to update form the matrix website after I install. I hope this will fix it

Ok so I reinstalled command from steam. I checked all the menus to make sure I have updates for command through steam. Then I went to the matrix site and tried to manually install the update. When I tried to install it told me I dont have command installed on my computer and would not allow me to install the update downloaded from matrix.

So The attempt at a clean install did not help here is a screen shot

Well I tried looking at the various files in the editor to see why it keeps bringing up the wrong mission after I finish the mission. I cant find anything. What I know is this. It comes up with two different Victory Scores either 4800 or 2000.. It never sends me to the next mission. I did a fresh install and nothing changed. I tried to apply the updates and they do not work (KEEP IN MIND THIS IS STEAM VERSION) It does not have a option to update on any menus within the steam version.

Okay, this (see attachment) is the current copy of the entire battleset, including all auxiliary files. Can you unzip this to your "[CMANO]\Scenarios\Shifting Sands" folder, overwriting all existing files, and give it another try.

Well It seems better but the weird part now Is I have replayed it three or so times and now I cant produce passing results. After the initial strike about 5:30 mins left of mission time they conduct a major airstrike on the carrier groups which if you finish off the escorts should sink the carriers. However now I notice the airstrikes cant get through and a lot less missiles come and they are a lot less effective. I will continue trying different things through the day to produce a passing score. I have passed this mission with full 4800 pts but it could have been a bugged version

I have sunk 3 Carriers and it hasn't awarded pts for any of them. Im going to zip up the save game and attach

Im not sure if it is in your power to do this but I see in other forums you let people convert there matrix copy of command to steam... I would like to convert my steam copy to a matrix copy. I just feel that might be the problem. I would also feel better being able to patch it with the latest updates. If I could go back I would probably just have purchased off the matrix site.

I have good news. I tried to change the victory score in the editor after I replaced the entire mission set. It did in fact pass me to the correct mission. So I set the mission pts back to the correct amount. I notice that there is only 300 pts per CV. So there is alot of pts needed to do this. Can someone give me some tips. So I can learn where I am missing pts and what part of this i am missing. When it was bugged or in older versions it was alot easier to pass..

Ok I really played through this I know I destroyed almost everything. I have screen shots. I have to go out with the family for a hike and lunch etc. I will upload later. I had a final score 2500 or so pts and that was everything... mostly... give or take a few.. Im not sure why this is happening within my copy.

Just a question to everybody else out there , do you have any issues with the scoring?

I think it maybe be a issue with the steam version of the game. Also I have looked in the editor part of the game which I haven't used yet as I want to play games rather then make content all day. I enjoy that but often I end of doing it full time and I never get to enjoy the game. When I looked at the editor the pts and scoring are not adding up with what I get awarded. Not if I set the victory Pts down It will pass me to the correct mission. Now the problem is I cant score the pts. In my copy or on my computer which ever it may be seems to be getting confused with a version of the mission that had a 2000 pts victory. I looked all over my steam command directory and I cannot find the mission for the life of me. Yesterday I reinstalled the game on a different solid state drive. Unfortunately it did not produce better results. If it is a hardware or software issue on my rig I want to isolate it and fix the problem. I will spend more money simply to correct anything that might prevent me from playing this game I have so many hours and dollars invested in to begin with. It has become bar far my favorite game to play.
