Shifting Sands Errors Fifth Eskandra Bug

Hello I was frustrated about not receiving proper game support and I actually stopped playing commano for awhile. With The new release of desert storm I reloaded it and got back into the Campaign I was last on. I hoped the bug I encountered last time would be fixed. I played the campaign to The mission Fifth Eskandra. After getting a score of over 4900 it is supposed to load the next mission after it is supposed to load Operation Opera. It doesn't Instead It loads Seconds out round Two!! and doesn't let you progress automatic. I could just load it but I don't want to why have a section for campaign Play if you cant use it and load it on your own anyway. Please fix this its annoying. There are also spelling errors in the briefings. I might look up which one it was but I really am disappointed this hasn't been combed through. It is a Navy Game these are bugs that should have been seen by now.

I gave this another shot with the current build. I exceeded the winning score in Fifth Eskadra, in campaign mode. On the evaluation window, the button to progress the campaign appeared. I clicked on it, and the briefing for the next scenario (Operation Opera) appeared while the scenario loaded. I clicked on the "Begin scenario" button and I was able to start playing the scenario.

I am attaching here the campaign file and the two scenarios, just in case your issue is caused by having very old versions of them.

Unless anyone else is able to reproduce the issue on his own rig, I can only conclude that the problem lies somewhere in your OS or your installation, and that's outside our powers.

Very easy fix to to blame the computer. Im not going to let you have that one. The lazy answer is the easy fix. As spelling errors in obvious places. I have a I7 processor 16 gig ram 5 HDD machine. The Hdd Command is on was replaced just 3 weeks ago. I have a 1070 Nvidia Card> I have a Steam Library of over 325 Games. I have almost every Matrix game they sell. They all work well with no errors.So my computer that runs all these other Games and apps is the problem. I dont think thats the case

I forgot to add this as well. I just installed command when Desert Storm was released through the steam client. So unless you dont update the steam version. I have auto updates enabled. Then Im sure thats not the problem either..

Not sure this would make a difference. I am playing shifting sands through The main copy of command. I do not click on shifting sands to play. Im going to run it through the shifting sands directly to see if it works before I try to add your files first. I promise you its not my computer. I also edit and mods numerous games. Mostly war games and I never have issues most tech issues i solve on my own. This is not a tech issue on my end

Ok this is very strange. I played it through shifting sands directly. The passing score changed to only 2000.. It still sent me to the wrong mission after..

So far and im not sure why.. Before I replaced the mission files with the mission files you posted. The main command program had victory pts of 4800. When I played it through shifting sands the stand alone ot was only 2000. when I looked at the editor.. it showed 4800.. Its just not adding up to me..

well i attempted and failed the mission. It might be a good sign as I have to change the tactics maybe something fixed.I am a little worn on this and playing the mission over about 8 times gets to anyone. I have bought and can verify The whole commano collection not when it had a defcon version either. I have 466 hours of logged steam game time on command. only alternative answers that come to my mind is maybe there is a problem with the steam version. If you could add a matrix games version to my account I could try to see if that works better.. Maybe steam missed a update Im not sure.

It is not my job to perfectly post to the support forum. However When I am paying hundreds of dollars for a game I expect the spelling to be correct. The briefings are the first thing you see and they are never too long. If I were getting paid there would be no excuses for such errors. Its amazing that they allow a 12 year old to run there support forums talking to faithful customers that have spent 466 hours in game and a lot of there hard earned cash. I am a veteran as well and I can not be more disgusted with the lack of professionalism shown here. This wont be the last place this post appears

Since we're nitpicking about spelling: "a lot of there hard earned cash" should be "a lot of their hard-earned cash".

Last Game I buy from Matrix. You feel the right to turn out a bad product with errors and you dont care. You never asked me what hardware I was running. I am a military. I was injured. My MOS was Army airborne Ranger chem op spec. I never made it all the way through before I was sent home on a medical discharge. It was my dream and I relive that through playing games like this one. Although I did not serve long at least I did it. Rather then sitting on a chair. I have huge respect for anyone doing any job that offers those services for us.

Well I guess those spelling mistakes are worth every penny of the couple hundred bucks I spent and more. You make great missions I have played this one several times although due to technical difficulties I stuck after the above mission. I think my favorite mission is the one where you bomb the government buildings but if you try to go at daylight you get hit by nearly everything on the map. I also thought it was awsome that night and day actually made a difference. Not all games do that well. Sir I don’t care if my game is broken if you build it I’ll buy it.

Anyway, what we could learn from this post:

1. If yu play game first aftar while, check official forum for latest updates
One of reasons I like CMANO is devs' constant updates. Command v1.15 Updates in these days says all.

2. If you have any problem, try to post savedata or screenshot instead of bad language.
Sometimes yur "bug" is already fixed or just because yur masturndastanding.

If yu found any typo in scenario description, devs will fix of course but it is kindness that yu show where typo is.

3. Note that yu can play (attached movie are not played though) any campaign scenario in standalone mode.
I'm poor at playing so most of the time I play in standalone mode.

Your spelling is naturally better then mine. When I set out to do somthing right with writing I’m the type that is looking everything up. I was not really frustrated about that. I think you had a good suggestion. I’m going to manually download the updates and see if that helps. I downloaded and replaced the mission files that were posted here. Sence then I’m actually having trouble passing it. It might have fixed it. In any case I have a whole new challenge to figure it out. What I was doing doesn’t work anymore. I hope it fixes if it doesn’t I’ll just play the last two standalone and move on. This really is my favorite game. I also enjoy DCS.. Digital Combat Simulator. It’s a flight sim if you don’t know about it. It’s is great to play with this game. You get to command in comano.... then you can fly a jet in the other one...
