Air attack

I have a tactical bomber plaguing me. Can I strike it with fighters or do I have to use a bomber unit? Is one better than the other for an air attack on other air units?

Both the Fighters and the Bombers can strike it, the more attacks the better!

Fighters launching attacks are only good against enemy bombers. They are adequate against weaker (bad morale/readiness/supply or lower tech or low strength) enemy fighters and sometimes against naval units that have no AA and/or are also weak.

Bombers will also do morale/readiness damage as well as remove entrenchment (type of bomber and tech depending).

Fighters are also cheaper so returned damage costs less to repair; and bombers are more versatile in target choosing.

So in short in some circumstances you might want to start with Fighter and in others you might want to start with the bomber. HOWEVER, if you're unsure of possible interceptors use the bomber first so the fighter can escort.
