In relatively good shape...those guys can really dig with their shovels! They must have blundered into abandoned defensive structures? Don't think I ever saw that before.
Woah, this is really something О_о
I've never seen anything like that either. Need to find that way to get insta-forts

Wargamr has been pretty consistent in instantly attacking beach heads, so I pare the invasion down to invite it.

55th Division is loading at Attu and will comprise a fair amount of the 2nd wave in a day or two or three.

Yamato will arrive close to Adak this next turn, beefing up my forces significantly. She will prowl once more, looking to react/attack surging Allied naval forces.

Always interesting.
I wonder if the 100% Prep had anything to do with the fast forts.

Good luck with the second wave.

A small supply convoy arrives, with a last minute addition of troops on board a slow merchantman, and the supplies are unloaded, but the troops gets punished...I wonder if it is both troops on the beach or just on the merchantman (as there are nowhere near that number on the merchant)?

Losses in that situation would mostly be while unloading over the beach, but some could be from fires on ships hit previously too.

I think there must be some fog of war inflating the losses.

Agreed, surprising to see the shock attack … his troops weren't in condition to do so, and it really helped you.

Ahh, ok, the 2 ID landing now makes sense … you have the 3rd ID in your hip pocket. [:D][:D]

Take a small dot base in the Aleutians, and flush a damaged Nevada, promptly sinking her with torpedoes.

The 2nd wave unloads fully at Adak, and an attack will occur shortly.

Still lots of VP to get here from both base building, conquering and ground losses.

In 3 days Chungking will expand adding 200 VP...

Might not invade here...just bombard, pull back set up better search. Depends what I can determine the defenders are. No rush.

]I think Cocos has too much potential as a long range recon base that you'd be better off taking it. Just isolate it, guard against resupply, then crush it.

My invasion force is currently not prepped well, so I am going to pull back let it develop some more prep, and start reducing the island.

With the VP margin where it is at currently, I don't want to accidentally gift the Allies VP.

Game is going very slowly recently due to real life on both sides...

VP ratio is 3.892 to 1.

Paoshan is taken, Allies seem to be evacuating Umnak, Dutch Harbor and points east in the north pacific. Invasion fleets are underway, some fast transport, some regular, and some paratroop landings scheduled to take place over the next few days.

The end is very close unless the Allies pull off a surprise counter attack and I really blunder.

Not sure if the Allies have written this one off or are setting the stage for a kitchen sink counter attack in the north.

Allies pretty much just night bombing...

3.899 to 1

Moving forward aggressively now in the north pacific

Chinese cleanup

either will put Japan over the magical 4-1 ratio.

It's pretty tough to achieve an auto vic against an experienced player (I think). Kudos to you for going for it and (nearly) achieving it.

Will you guys continue to play thereafter? You've probably already covered that, but I can't recall.
