Mixed artillery units?

Post by BigDuke66 »

Hi
do mixed artillery units cause any problems when guns with different capabilities(range, shell weight, etc.) are in it?

I'd rather not have to look under the hood to see if there's a set of tubes that have a shorter range than the unit as a whole.

One would hope the game would take the unit on a gun by gun basis and apply a gun's strength only if it can reach the target. Never tested it myself. Kind of afraid of what the answer would be. [:D] I'm sure Bob would have the answer.

I've been using the range of the shortest range gun as the range for the unit to make sure I always include the
shorter range guns on bombardments. But if I'm in a knife fight with an enemy gun, a gun duel, I back that
bad boy up as far as I need to go to defeat the enemy gun by bombarding it while it can't reach me. RR arty
is good for that.
