Difficulty with AE Editor

Post by RayYoung »

I have recently attempted to use the editor to modify a scenario.

I created the Scenario on my current computer. However, for whatever reason now the editor stops responding when loading the scenario or any scenario. It seems to start out okay but then stops responding. I can cancel it out and try to start over but the result is the same.

Any ideas?

I'm not sure but you may need to copy the editor to the folder where the scenario is.

Strange, never encountered this behavior. Have you tried 64 bit version? I recall, I had some problems with 32bit version on WINDOWS 10.

How much RAM do you have? Do you have other stuff running on the computer at the same time?

It does take several seconds to load all the data from one scenario, and I have a screamer Alienware computer. The game is not graphically demanding but the data demands are heavy.

Also be aware that the first 25 slots are reserved for official scenarios and cannot be changed in any way by the users. If you want to mod an official scenario, load the scenario you want to work on and then save it to a slot number above 25. Be aware that some popular existing mods already use some of these slots (if you choose to download and install them). E.G. Da Big Babes has three scenarios numbered 26, 27, and 28. You can always re-save your mod to a different slot if it turns out that you need that slot for another mod.
