That's all I've played so far, more as I get to them. Thanks for reading.

Great AAR thanks to you for making it.

Also a (not so) little point about strike ranges. The range given for the loadout is the max distance the plane itself can go. With stand-off weapons you must add the weapons range to that number to obtain the real max range for the strike.

So your Flounders with heavy YJ-83 loadouts can strike ships up until 290nm which makes a big difference.

Just to be sure I checked before posting and the Strike Planner attacked with those very same plane and loadout a tanker put at 250nm without manual input other than the mission generation, so the AI already takes this in account if you don't want to micro.

Thanks for writing. I did incorporate missile range into my thinking on that. That airbase is about 100 miles inland, and I don't expect that any enemy surface ships are going to make it close enough to shore to be engaged by them (190 miles off shore I mean). The KD-88 seems slightly less effective against ships than the YJ-83, but it can engage land targets and with that loaudout those airplanes can support the upcoming invasion of Okinawa.

Fatgreata1066,

Thanks for sharing all of this information - it was very interesting to go through your thought process. Well done.

It would be nice if there was a way to have the computer help sort out the timings of the packages so that they all arrived at the same time...

Yes I think there;s been a lot of talk about wanting that, a sort of advanced strike planner, in the thread about gameplay requests. It would be nice indeed. Thanks for writing.
